Reduce Pain in Dothan, ALImprove your overall health and alleviate chronic body pain.
At Regenerative Medicine of AL, our advanced therapies work with your body’s natural processes to repair damaged tissues and restore function with healing on a cellular level. Through Laser therapy, PEMF, spinal decompression, and Hako-Med treatments, we offer solutions for conditions that may be too painful to treat in other ways. Using the natural forces of gravity and your body’s electromagnetic pathways, we can relieve pressure and promote the healthy flow of blood, oxygen, and nutrients throughout your body to encourage healing.
Advanced Treatments We Provide
We offer a variety of advanced therapies in the treatment of chronic pain which includes the following:
Improve Mobility & Relieve Pain
The DRX9000® is a Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System that was created to assist doctors in their effort to treat chronic pain and disability for patients suffering with incapacitating low back pain, neck pain and sciatica. The DRX9000® is designed to provide pain relief for compressive and degenerative injuries of the spine. Through the application of spinal decompressive forces to these areas of the spine, the DRX9000® can help provide relief from back pain or neck pain and has allowed patients to resume the activities they love.
The spinal decompression traction is offset by cycles of partial relaxation. This technique of unloading due to distraction and positioning, has shown the ability to gently separate the vertebrae from each other, creating a vacuum inside the discs that are targeted. This ‘vacuum effect’ is also known as negative intra-discal pressure. The negative pressure may induce the retraction of the herniated or bulging disc into the inside of the disc, and off the nerve root, thecal sac, or both. It happens only microscopically each time, but cumulatively, over four to six weeks, the results can be dramatic. The cycles of decompression and partial relaxation, over a series of visits, promote the diffusion of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids from the outside of the discs to the inside. These nutrients may be able help the torn and degenerated disc fibers to begin to heal. The treatment is usually quite comfortable and well tolerated. Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is very effective at treating bulged discs, herniated discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, radiating arm pain, degenerative disc disease, leg pain, and facet syndromes. Proper patient screening is imperative and only the most ideal candidates are accepted for care.
PEMF, is a revolutionary wellness modality that utilizes soothing Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields to stimulate and exercise the body’s cells. PEMF, also known as High Energy Inductive Therapy (HEIT), is trusted worldwide to support the body’s natural healing and regulating abilities. The earth emits a pulsing electromagnetic field at 7.8 hertz. Much like the earth, our bodies are electromagnetic; our brains use electromagnetic signals to communicate with every bodily system. Science has shown that if our cells have enough electrical charge, the body has an improved ability to heal. PEMF is a holistic therapy that infuses the body with natural energy at the cellular level. The body may use that energy to:

Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy (ProElec DT 2000) has been a breakthrough in electromedicine, combining all known forms of electromedical therapy, in addition to this new revolutionary therapy. Hako-Med is clinically proven and the only patented therapy that allows the simultaneous creation of biochemical and bioelectric effects in the same tissue. It is one of the most sophisticated form of electrotherapy available. A German company engineered and manufactured this state of the art, computerized technology to create a unique electrotherapy treatment concept called Horizontal Therapy. The field of electromedicine has evolved over the years and provided us with electrical muscle stimulation, TENS therapy, microcurrent, interferential therapy, and other forms. Each of these methods of electrotherapy has a particular role in treating a variety of conditions, but none of them approach the therapeutic effects which are combined in the PRO ElecDT 2000 with Horizontal Therapy.
Communication between cells takes place in two ways: bioelectrically and biochemically. Whether the cells are in bone, muscle, ligament or nerve tissue, communication occurs via electrical currents and chemical messengers. When cellular communication is impaired, pain and disease occur, so that the normal functional state is lost. This causes a further breakdown in cellular communication. In the past, either the bioelectrical or the biochemical communication could be enhanced with electrotherapy at one time, but not both at once. With the Hako-Med, both bioelectrical and biochemical components can be treated all in one treatment session. By holding the bioelectric intensity constant while changing the frequency, Horizontal Therapy can have a broad spectrum physiologic effect. The PRO ElecDT 2000 preset programs are designed to do this automatically.
What Types of Conditions Are Treated with Horizontal Therapy?
The Hako-Med had been shown to be clinically effective for the following conditions:
Is Horizontal Therapy Safe?
It should be noted that the bioelectrical currents that are used in the PRO ElecDT 2000 have been rigorously tested and have surpassed all standards required for biomedical devices. The current is painless and, in many cases, barely felt. It should also be noted that there are some conditions for which this type of electrotherapy should not be utilized, including over areas of infection, blood clots, local infections, near a pacemaker, and in those patients who have cancer or abnormal cardiac rhythms.
Radial shockwave therapy (RST) is an FDA cleared technology that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing process, reduce chronic joint pain, and treat painful soft tissue (muscle, tendons and ligaments). This therapy is often used as a treatment option for conditions such as chronic knee and shoulder pain, as well as plantar fasciitis. During the treatment, a specialized device is used to deliver high-energy sound waves to the affected area. These sound waves penetrate the tissues and create microscopic vibrations, which leads to increased blood flow, the formation of new blood vessels, and the release of growth factors. This can help to reduce pain and improve joint function and help cause damaged tissue to gradually regenerate.
One of the key benefits of RST is that it is a non-invasive treatment option. Unlike surgery or steroid injections, which can be painful and require a recovery period, RST is typically very tolerable and requires little to no downtime. In fact, most patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment. While there may be some minor discomfort during the treatment, there are no significant side effects associated with this therapy. Additionally, the results of this treatment are often long-lasting, and many patients experience significant improvements in their joint pain and function. If you are suffering from chronic joint or foot pain, RST may be an effective treatment option for you.
The Knee on Trac is a decompression/traction system that isolates the knee while gently stretching the knee joint. This treatment can improve the knee joint’s flexibility and mobility and improve pain.
The HydroMassage bed is an alternative to traditional massage that helps to temporarily promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, increase blood circulation, and reduce stress in most individuals. This is done naturally through the use of massaging water jets. The HydroMassage therapy allows users to customize their massage from a gentle pressure to a deep tissue massage. The patient does not need to get undressed to use the HydroMassage bed, and you can get a great massage in 15 minutes. Ask the staff for more information on this therapy and to see if you qualify for a free introductory massage.
A standing vibration plate is a type of exercise equipment that uses high-frequency vibrations to stimulate muscles and increase circulation. It is a platform that you stand on while it vibrates, creating a series of small movements that engage your muscles and help to build strength and improve flexibility. Standing vibration plates are commonly used for a variety of fitness goals and in rehabilitation to help improve balance, particularly with patients suffering with Peripheral Neuropathy.
Benefits of Standing Vibration Plate
You can use the vibration plate for a variety of exercises, including squats, lunges, and calf raises, or simply stand on it for a set period of time. It is important to note that standing vibration plates may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those with certain medical conditions, such as pacemakers or joint problems. As with any exercise equipment, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting to use a standing vibration plate.
Pneumatic compression boot therapy is a type of treatment that uses inflatable boots to improve circulation and reduce swelling in the legs and feet. It is commonly used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including lymphedema, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease, and peripheral neuropathy.
The boots are connected to a device that inflates and deflates in a specific sequence, applying pressure to the legs and feet and then releasing it. This pressure helps to improve circulation by moving blood and lymph fluid through the veins and lymphatic system. The benefits of pneumatic compression boot therapy include the following:
Another use of this therapy is with our post-treatment care after patients receive LIPOcel permanent fat reduction. Instead of boots, a device similar to shorts are put on by the patient and this stimulates the lymphatic system by compressing the area around the patient’s abdomen, waist, and hips.
Treat Chronic Body Pain & Pursue Wellness
We use three primary treatment methods in our advanced regenerative therapies:
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy is designed to recharge your body’s cells. You may find yourself feeling drained on a daily basis, but PEMF is a noninvasive procedure that can re-energize you. It taps into your body’s natural electromagnetic field to regulate cellular dysfunction.
Spinal decompression, or decompression traction therapy, uses revolutionary technology to treat disc injuries in the neck and in the lower back. With safe, specialized equipment, we gently stretch your spine to relieve pressure beyond what can be achieved on your own. This can provide dramatic healing and relief.
Hako-Med treatment, also called horizontal therapy, is a form of electromedical therapy that addresses circulation problems, joint and nerve conditions, and cellular communication. Through safe, external electrical stimulation, it can be used to treat a variety of pain points including arthritis, muscle spasms, and limited range of motion.
